Controller sizing has two rules: voltage must match the motor nameplate, and current must handle peak load—not just continuous.Step-by-step:

• Voltage match: If your motor is 48V, use a 48V controller. Never run a 48V motor on a 72V controller unless the motor is explicitly dual-voltage rated.
• Current rating: Controller continuous current ≥ motor rated current. Controller peak current ≥ 2× motor rated current (for startup and hill climbs).Example: XQ-5.5-3X motor draws 115A continuous at 48V. Choose a controller rated 120A continuous / 300A peak.
• Regeneration: For forklifts and AGVs, choose a controller with regenerative braking to reduce brake wear and extend battery runtime by 10–15%.
• Protection: Look for overcurrent, overtemp, and short-circuit protection. IP rating should match the installation location (IP54 minimum for industrial use).

A Mecanum wheel looks like a normal wheel, but its rim carries a ring of rollers set at 45 degrees. As the wheel turns, each roller both rolls forward and slides sideways—the two force components combine into a diagonal thrust. Mount four wheels in the correct pattern (front-left paired with rear-right, front-right paired with rear-left) and the four diagonal forces add up to forward, backward, lateral strafe, and zero-radius rotation. The chassis never has to steer. Critical details:

• - Each wheel must be driven and speed-controlled independently. If the speed ratio across four wheels is wrong, the vehicle drifts.
• - Rollers come in left-hand and right-hand versions (usually marked A and B). Install them in the wrong position and the vehicle spins in a circle.
• - Two common layouts: O-type (rollers facing inward, most concentrated force) and X-type (facing outward, slightly better stability).
